10 Things To Love And Hate About The Spyro Reignited Trilogy
1. Love The Graphics Upgrade
This almost feels unfair to point out. The fact that graphics capabilities have improved over the course of two decades should be of no surprise to anyone. However, for any who played these games in their original formats, it is really worth while looking back to the screenshots and seeing just how rough they looked.
Absolutely no disrespect is intended towards the original series here. For the time, these were at least fine and if not great graphical efforts, but seeing Spyro rendered with all the advantages of modern technology is pretty impressive.
From the smoother animations to the smaller details, when you start to notice how his flame burns sections of grass temporarily or how he pulls his front claws up and down while gaining or losing altitude in the loading screens, these details all add up to a markedly better looking game.
Again, this is extremely low-hanging fruit and while it feels almost redundant to state it, the combination of what we remember coupled with these newer and better visuals is one of the biggest selling points to anyone thinking about dipping their toes back into the world of the purple dragon.
