10 Things We Want To See From Yukes' Alternative WWE 2K Game

4. Focus On Sim-Like Management Elements

Total Exteme Wrestling
WWE/Adam Ryland

If anyone has ever sat down to play Adam Ryland's underrated Extreme Warfare Revenge or Total Extreme Warfare/Wrestling series, then they'll get the gist of this entry. Anyone who hasn't should know that these games boil down to business strategy more than playing matches. You decide on everything, from who's feuding with who, how long that rivalry should last, what gimmicks the wrestlers have and what channel your shows are on.

Think Sim City or Theme Park, only with less graphics and more text.

The much-missed GM Mode would scratch an itch here, but so would combining the ability to play through cards with the control over how they come together. Sure, Universe has this same sort of ambience, but it's all very bland and lacks the real customisation Ryland's finest hours serve up.

We wouldn't be adverse to a Football Manager-like WWE experience at all. There's a certain thrill that comes from being the main decision-maker, and it wouldn't be hard for Yukes to package the new game as a management sim more than an in-ring button masher.
