When it comes to cut content for Arkham City, there doesn't seem to be too much information out there readily available. Fortunately, from what little we do know about the features and beats that ended up on the cutting room floor in the sequel, it's clear there were some major missed opportunities.

Case in point: the bat shark repellent. While this has only ever really been used during one particularly iconic moment where Adam West's batman fought a shark while hanging from a helicopter (literally the most badass scenario anyone has ever come up with), it's gone on to become something of a cultural joke that everyone understands.

Arkham City was originally going to pay homage to this very moment, during a sequence where Batman similarly comes face to face with a shark, this time called Tiny. Here, he was supposed to whip out "shark repellent" from his utility belt, which wouldn't be a spray, but actually a pair of brass knuckles.

For whatever reason, this great joke didn't end up making it.
