10 Things You Didn't Know About Red Dead Redemption

2. The First Teaser Trailer Was Made In 2005

Despite Red Dead Revolver shipping in 2004, Rockstar San Diego quickly got to work on the follow up, bursting with ideas they were unable to implement in the previous game. After putting together a team of 800 developers, Redemption was put into full production, and the team even had a tech demo completed by 2005 ready to show to the world.

Watching this long after the release of the actual game, it's easy to see that, while rudimentary, the vision of what RDR was going to be was always there.

The tech demo is nowhere near reflective of the final product in terms of visuals or gameplay, but the tone remains the same, and even the setting of Armadillo and the surrounding areas is incredibly close to what shipped with the game some five years later.
