4. Supposed To Have A Film Adaptation
A film adaptation of this beloved franchise was meant to be in the works, and we even got a trailer for it in 2016. However, this project has since been shelved as far as fans know, and we have heard nothing more about it since then.
The trailer simply shows the gang on a seemingly serious mission for Murray, who is found in the back of the van groaning in pain. It is revealed that all this tension was just for donuts, which Murray desperately needs. Sly breaks into the police station nearby to steal donuts for him, and we get some very typical and hilarious banter from the characters that we all know and love.
They were even able to bring Ian James Corlett on board to voice the devilishly suave raccoon. Corlett has a very extensive background in voice acting, from Dragon Ball Z to Sausage Party, and so many different roles in between.
As far as we know, this project has been permanently shelved, and will most likely never see the light of day, though hope still remains that maybe one day we will get a film for our devious ringtail.
