So, you knew you could beat the game fast, but did you know just how fast?

Mario has more moves in Odyssey than any other game in the franchise, and these can be exploited to the max to pull off some pretty cool tricks. Combining Mario's core move set with all the perks Cappy offers, a number of players have already uploaded their under-an-hour play throughs online for you to gawp at.

Seriously, some of the virtual acrobatics players can pull off are nothing less than Olympic medal-worthy. Especially given just how many cut scenes, load screens and unskippable dialogue boxes there are in Odyssey, beating Bowser in less than an hour is a serious feat.

The best way to play Odyssey will always be taking in all it has to offer, marvelling at all its secrets and Easter Eggs and enjoying what is quite likely the most downright fun ever made. But if you fancy trying your hand at beating the speedrun record - good luck to you. There's some healthy competition out there.
