10 Things You Didn't Know About Wolfenstein

6. "Mein Leben!"

Wolfenstein 2
Bethesda

Everyone loves researching and finding hidden game features known as Easter eggs, with most featuring accessible guides or descriptions on how to unlock or discover the releases' top secrets.

This is not the case with Wolfenstein: The New order's "Mein leben!" Easter egg.

In Wolfenstein 3D, released in 1992, a line popular with dying Nazi soldiers before they took their last breath was "Mein leben!". In English, the line translates to "My life!". Original fans of the Wolfenstein series would have been happy to discover the line had made a comeback in 2014's release, that is until no direction was ever given or found on how to spur the floundering Nazis into uttering the once prolific line.

It appears at this point MachineGames will never give away the secret needed to access the Easter egg, so the only advice can be play the game, press some buttons, see what happens.
