10 Things You Should NOT Do With Pokémon GO
1. Hunt For MissingNo.
Ah, the fabled MissingNo. This was a glitch most famously stumbled across in the original Pokémon games. Once a series of tasks were performed, this pile of pixels could be fought and caught like a real Pokémon...
...Only for it to completely ruin your game by scrambling your screen, knackering up the music, making mutliple versions of your character appear, and more abnormalities.
The reward really isn't worth it, but it's been a curiosity in the series nonetheless. Supposedly, it was a programming glitch that might, or might not have, been a cut Pokémon from the game. Whether or not this was true is debatable.
Could MissingNo exist somewhere in Pokémon Go? It seems very unlikely.
Would it be an Easter Egg for players to stumble across? How can players break the game in order to catch it? Could catching the fabled MissingNo break your phone and scramble up the screen? Or would it just warp reality around you?
Who can say? It's only a matter of time until someone discovers the truth. But for now, it's wisest to assume the negative. Not that it's much of a loss, anyway. A jumbled pile of lines that churns out an ear-grinding collection of 8-bit fart noises would not have been the wisest of inclusions in the game.
