8. Giant Will Wright - The Sims

Will Wright is the brilliant mastermind behind the Sims series, which to this day is still one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time.

Throughout the series, Sims titles would name various things after him, but there was also one instance in the early days of the Sims when Will Wright appeared in the game in person.

In The Sims 1's expansion pack, Makin' Magic, the player could grow special beanstalks that grew larger the more magic spells were cast around them. The process took a really long time, but eventually the stalk would grow tall enough to allow the player to climb it, just like in the classic Jack and the Beanstalk fairy tale.

What lay on the other end, however, was not an angry giant protecting a gold-laying goose. Instead, it was a tired, 30-foot-tall Will Wright resting on a cloud after a hard day of work. The giant would thank the player for playing the game and then go back to snoozing.

Playing the Sims might make you feel like a god, but there's only one man who's chilling in the game's version of heaven.
