10 Times Pokémon Games Were Censored For Western Audiences

1. Inter-Species Marriage

In the Canalave City library from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, there is a book entitled, 'Sinnoh Folk Stories Part 3', detailing the closer relationship that Pokémon and humans once had with each other. In the western copies of the game, it states that Pokémon used to eat at the same table as humans.

However, in the Japanese version, it seems that Pokémon and humans were even closer than that, claiming that they married each other, as there were no differences to distinguish between the species.

It should go without saying why this line was banned. With the marriage between Pokémon and humans, there is a connotation that implies they must also have had sexual relations too, in order to consummate the marriage, and no matter where you are from, bestiality is big no-no.
