3. Killing Gale In Act 1 - Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 received much praise for its attention to detail. No matter where you are or what you do, you can bet developers Larian have already thought of it, and have prepared an appropriate response.
There are many examples of Larian's foresight, but one that's possibly the most interesting happens when you kill Gale in Act 1.
Those who have played the game already know that Gale has a Netherese Orb stuck in his chest that's said to cause a city-sized explosion unless he consumes magical artefacts.
For this reason, if Gale dies in Act 1, his body will release a magical projection that will urge you to perform a convoluted resurrection ritual that will bring him back to life. The game warns you that ignoring his death might have dire consequences within the next two days, but you might feel like ignoring them, thinking the game wouldn't bother to keep track of stuff like that.
Well, guess what? In exactly two days, Gale's dead body does in fact release the devastating explosion, and everything and everyone dies a horrible but quick death.
You've only got yourself to blame.
