10 Times Wrestling Video Games Broke The Fourth Wall

5. "Two Words For Ya" (WWE All Stars)

During their most recent runs, D-Generation X became 'wink wink nudge nudge' shills who veered into corporate territory before snapping out of it. They'd often name drop items for sale via WWE Shop and then realise that they'd been warped by the system. It was cheesy, but harmless fun.

THQ decided to use that in their WWE All Stars off-shoot.

During one story route in the 'Path Of Champions' mode, Triple H and Shawn Michaels directly promote the game they're currently starring in. Michaels can be seen holding a copy of All Stars (albeit a limited edition with the DX paint logo plastered over it) and he says it's worth picking up.

After that shill for a product players have already paid for, the DX crew stare down the camera, point and say their "Suck It" catchphrase. It would've been even better had they said, "We got two words for ya... fourth wall", or something like that.
