10 Times You Came Back From The Dead To Kick Ass In Video Games

Fallout: New Vegas places the player in the shoes of a beleaguered protagonist known only as The Courier, an employee of the Mojave Express.

In the opening cinematic, the Courier is attacked by mobster Benny during a trip to New Vegas to deliver an item called the platinum chip.

Benny takes the chip and shoots the Courier, leaving them for dead, only for a Securitron called Victor to save his life and, with the help of Doc Mitchell, nurse the Courier back to life.

A major chunk of the game is then defined by the Courier's journey across the Mojave to track down Benny and get that damn chip back, where they can either kill him or let him go.

After this, the Courier becomes a major figure in determining the fate of the Mojave Wasteland, by siding with either the Legion, the NCR, or Mr. House, or by just taking it over themselves.
