10 Times YOU Made A Video Game Harder

9. Equipping 'Charismatic Autobiography' - Yakuza 0

Early on in Yakuza 0, it's possible to complete a side mission which rewards you with the mysterious item named "Charismatic Autobiography."

If you thoughtlessly equip it without actually reading its description, as many did, you'll find yourself suddenly facing a massive difficulty spike, as you become a magnet for massively over-powered enemies to totally kick your ass in the hope of stealing the book.

Thankfully it can be remedied by simply unequipping the book, ensuring the enemies return to more or less taking you on one at a time.

But if you're not totally paying attention, it's also missed incredibly easily, and makes the game incredibly frustrating until you figure it out.
