10 Tiny Video Game Decisions With HUGE Consequences

7. Bloodborne - Taking Survivors To Iosefka

Bioshock Little Sister

If the player returns to their original starting point, Iosefka's Clinic, a little later, they will speak to a kindly voice identifying itself as doctor Iosefka. She wishes the Hunter luck on their hunt, but regrets that she can't open the door to them as she has sick patients to tend to.

After Father Gascoigne's defeat, though, Imposter Iosefka secretly takes over the clinic. Like the lumpen creature in Oedon Chapel, she will announce that she instead wants the Hunter to send any survivors they find to her. 'Iosefka' claims that she will take care of any such unfortunate souls.

Later in the game, it transpires that the few remaining survivors meet a grim fate if the player directs them to 'Iosefka.' She experiments on them, and on the true Iosefka, eventually transforming them into Celestial Minions.

In true Bloodborne fashion, even if gamers think they're doing a good deed, FromSoftware makes them inadvertently transform innocents into hideous alien blobs.

Chris Littlechild hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
