10 Tiny Video Game Details Which Will Blow Your Mind

8. Skyrim - Dead NPCs Are Actually Buried

It's much more common than you might think that players of Bethesda's monolithic adventure title The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim occasionally want to ditch the main or side quest they're on, and just be a total bastard for no real reason and go on a murdering spree.

It could be a challenge to see how long they can survive, it could be a test to see if certain people get replaced, or it may well have been a simple accident (although the fifth time you stab someone in the face while saying "whoops" might wear a bit thin as an excuse).

Whatever the reason, have you ever wondered what happens AFTER the spree has ended? Well it turns out that if you head to one of the Halls of the Dead which can be located in each major city, you'll find the cremated and buried remains of every single NPC you've killed. Nothing drives home what a monster you are by seeing the walls lined with burial urns and coffins, but also it means that any decent loot they had on them is also buried making it easy to retrieve.

I'm not encouraging a killing spree by the way, it's just a brilliant detail.
