7. Nathan Drake & Elena Fisher (Uncharted Series)

The Uncharted series hasn't really had great story-telling. One of its strongest elements however has been the character interactions throughout the games. The banter between the characters has been a driving force behind most of the memorable moments in the series and is part of why many like the series. With that comes the romance subplot between Nate and Elena. The Uncharted games don't get all 'mushy' nor is someone saying 'I love you' every minute, but the charms of both characters shine and they play off each other really well. Most of the romantic subplot takes place behind the scenes, in between the games so to speak. It's never fully told but heavily implied. And it works really well. We don't need to see every single detail of their relationship because their characters are told well enough that we can imagine for ourselves. What does take part during the games themselves serve as extra spice to heighten the relationship between Nate and Elena. A genuine relationship develops over the course of the series, helped by the fact that the pair fit in naturally together, Nate with his enthusiasm for hidden treasures and Elena with her enthusiasm for journalistic treasures. They play off each other well and generally tend to have very heart-warming moments at the end of each game
