10 Touching Video Game Moments You Probably Missed

10. Adam Jensen€™s Apartment - Deus Ex: Human Revolution

There is something sombre about Adam Jensen's existence. He's handsome, heroic and augmented in a way that not only looks awesome, but is actually pretty practical. Yet, he's sacrificed his personal life completely to be in his line of work, and there are a few signs that highlight this beautifully. There is no moment that better captures Adam's solitude than when you first enter his apartment. The second you enter, a haunting, melancholy score kicks in, accompanied by the clinical, decidedly unwelcoming automated voice saying "Welcome Home, Mr. Jensen". The Venetian blinds open automatically, letting in that distinctive sepia light from the streets outside, giving the whole scene the appearance of Blade Runner by way of Rembrandt. Wandering around the apartment, you'll see packed boxes that haven't been unpacked, piles of books, a broken mirror, and countless other signs that show beneath Jensen's sci-fi slick appearance, he is a tortured soul who lacks a sense of purpose or identity outside of his all-consuming job. There's a good chance that when you first went into Jensen's apartment, you just ran in and immediately started looking for your objective. Instead, check out the video below, and you'll get a feel for just how insanely detailed and characterful this environment really is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uows0Si9gVg
