10 Truly Terrible Video Games Based On Great TV Shows

1. The Simpsons Game

The Simpsons Game 2007

I know exactly what you’re saying but read the title again. This isn’t a harsh critique of Simpsons: Hit and Run; I love that game way more than I should. This is a damning criticism of the stinking, freshly laid, dog egg that was basically a glorified Simpsons’ Movie tie in.

For starters, the game’s camera angles actually argue with you: "Need the camera over there buddy? That’s a shame because we’re going to move WAY over here just after you change us and oh! You’re dead!" The developers should’ve employed Lakitu to handle the camera work rather than an objectionable system of shoddy views.

The worst part of this game isn’t the camera, nor the controls. For once, the ultimate clanger comes in the form of the premise. The Simpsons break the fourth wall by finding the video game manual and develop so-called ‘superpowers’: Bart can climb walls, Homer is fat, Lisa is a tree-hugger, and Marge controls crowds by nagging...

WHO CARES!? Bring back Hit and Run immediately.
