10 TV Sitcoms That Would Make Great Video Games

5. Frasier

Seinfeld game

Frasier may not seem like an obvious contender for a video game adaptation at the outset, but the titular character is actually among modern comedy’s most purposeful and driven. His goals are that of the player’s: to steadily rise through the ranks of Seattle’s social elite, while boosting your quasi-celebrity status as a radio psychiatrist and dating a succession of the city’s most desirable women.

Frasier: The Game is a balancing act. The city is a bustling place for a man of Dr Crane’s means, but you can’t just indulge your whims. We’re taking cues from Football Manager here - there are a lot of aspects to take care of.

You might organise a dinner with your latest love attraction, but in order for this to go undisturbed, you need to ensure dad Marty is otherwise occupied. Put too much into your radio show and you’re risking a cutting quip from Niles.

The life of Frasier Crane is truly tactical stuff. It’s a game with no fixed endpoint - it’s never enough for the highfalutin hero. Conquering Seattle will take wit, style, and an in depth knowledge of sherry.
