10 Underrated Video Games Based On Movie Franchises

7. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Bond From Russia With Love Sean Connery Game
Raven Software

Despite the existence of a terrible film bearing the same name, the video game version of X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an absolute delight. Unfairly tainted due to its name, the game features immensely satisfying combat, with a story that is far more fleshed out than its movie counterpart.

The more mature and far superior “Uncaged Edition” of the game complements the visceral and frantic combat, with added blood and gore. The moves at your disposal when fighting enemies are varied and fun to use, while Wolverine’s healing ability is extremely well realised, with impressive attention to detail.

Like other entries on this list, the game adds to the original story found in the movie, with developer Raven Software enhancing the story with elements from the comics, such as the Sentinels.

This is one movie tie-in worth playing if you’re an X-Men fan, especially if you didn’t enjoy the version of the story found in the film.
