10 Underused Pokémon You're TOTALLY Wrong About

5. Spinda

Seemingly one of the most boring Pokémon on this list, Spinda doesn’t really seem to have anything going for it. It’s a Normal-type Pokémon and at first glance doesn’t look like it could offer the player any kind of competitive edge. But, in the true spirit of this list, players would be wrong in thinking this.

Even though Spinda is a Normal-type Pokémon, it has the potential to learn almost any move-type. In fact, the only move-types Spinda can’t learn are Dragon and Fairy.

In addition to this, Spinda's base stats are all set to 60 (with a humorous total of 360) meaning Spinda is a very well balanced foundation for any build you can think of. The spotted panda could be anything from a tank with predominantly Fire-type moves, to a Pokémon with a huge special attack stat for its Ghost-type move set.

Spinda also has a hidden trick up its sleeve, the ability Contrary. This can turn the tide of any battle as it has the power to reverse any stat-changing move. If a Pokémon were to use Growl, it will actually raise its opponent’s attack as opposed to lowering it. Spinda may be boring, but it sure is versatile.
