10 Underused Video Game Characters You Fell In Love With

3. Zevran - Dragon Age

Dragon Age: Origins has one of the best RPG parties ever assembled in video game history, but out of all of them, Zevran Arianai is by far the most beloved.

This is for a lot of reasons, of course.

For one, Zevran is by far the funniest character in the entire game, and mind you this is a game with a sentient rock monster with a xenophobic hatred of pigeons. His wit, devil may care attitude and impeccable charm help him to always have a witty comeback to any situation that pretty much always gets a laugh. But the biggest reason this author can think of is the fact that Zevran was one of the first male Bioware companions you could romance as a man.

Previous Bioware games had bisexual FEMALE companions, for obvious reasons, but this was one of the first openly bisexual male main character you could romance in a Bioware game. And the fact that the romance is handled so maturely, combined with his previously stated fun as hell personality, really helped cement this character in the minds of Bioware fans forever.

Then they relegated him to a side quest in 2 and a couple of letters in Inquisition. Nice going, Bioware.
