10 Unfair Boss Fights Designed To Piss You Off

8. Dark Aeons (Final Fantasy X)

The Final Fantasy series is well-known for including all manner of extremely difficult hidden boss fights, but the Dark Aeons in Final Fantasy X may just be the most frustrating of them all.

Making their presence known once you acquire the airship, the Dark Aeons are the evil counterparts to the mystical beings that your party calls upon for aid in battle. These dark variants are insanely powerful, able to kill your team in a single strike if your characters aren't fully levelled-up.

These encounters are intended to be optional, but some of them are blocking access to areas of the game that you need to revisit if you're wanting to explore all of the game's side content, meaning that these supposedly skippable encounters suddenly become frustrating roadblocks that stand between you and certain parts of the game.

As gruelling and downright annoying as the Dark Aeons are, they can be easily killed in one hit if you know how to properly exploit a certain move in the game. It's a cheap way of getting around them, but in some cases it's a necessity.

If it wasn't for this simple exploit they'd be much, much higher on this list.
