10 Unova Pokémon We Can’t Wait To Catch In Pokémon Go

4. Genesect

Genesect’s design isn’t quite as divisive as Haxorus, but it’s a pretty close ran thing. Black & White’s change of direction certainly wasn’t for everyone, but Genesect has survived the test of time to be looked upon much more fondly these days.

The purple Bug looks like a futuristic death machine. If you mashed the designs of Halo’s Covenant with a cartoon ant, you’d get Genesect. A departure from the usually cuddly Bug designs (even Beedrill is adorable if you squint a little), it’s easy to see why it initially caused a stir. Now though, it’s grown on fans and is one of the most popular Bug types around.

It’s one of the few Legendaries/Mythicals to have a solid story too, possibly the best since Johto’s Legendary Dogs being resurrected by Ho-Oh. The ancient Bug is awakened by villainous Team Plasma, who turn it into a military weapon by grafting a cannon onto its back, giving it a dual Steel typing.

Like Bug, Steel isn’t all that popular and Genesect might even be the fan favourite across both types; runner up in both might be fellow Bug Steel Scizor. The next entry gives it some Bug competition though...
