10 Unpopular Opinions That’ll Make Gamers Rage

9. Shadow Of The Colossus Was Just One Good Idea

A common entry on any list of 'Unpopular Opinions' online, although SotC has garnered huge critical acclaim and is often touted as one of the major progressive milestones in video games as an artistic medium... it isn't half repetitive.

Now don't get me wrong, there are many things it does impeccably well; with the most obvious being an unmatched sense of scope and scale. Whenever you were approaching the titular Colossi, their movements along with the dust, debris, waves etc. that kick up around them and the slow, lumbering way they attempt to attack you is all extremely impressive, perfectly getting across the idea that you're but a speck to their gargantuan stature.

However, every time you'd take down a Colossi it was a swift trip back to the temple in the centre of the world, only to then hop on your horse and journey out towards the next one. You then do this 16 times with no other gameplay mechanic, interactive element, dialogue or anything.

By the time you'd gotten through say ten of these creatures and had the whole "Okay, now journey back across the wilderness to find another one!"-shtick was beginning to grate, it became a bit too much of a chore to get through.
