10 Upcoming 2023 Video Games We're REALLY Worried About

Although the previews for Bayonetta's latest adventure have been largely positive, we can't help but fear that its developers have been putting their eggs in a basket riddled with holes. The first is the very idea behind the game - isometric puzzle-solving with a Bayonetta who can't fight is a massive departure for the franchise, and one we're unsure how well Bayo's fans will take to.

Hole two is that Bayonetta has never had that many fans to begin with, and Platinum's decision to create a niche spin-off of an already-niche series feels like a huge risk for comparatively little reward.

But the biggest hole in this now over-extended metaphor is the game's price-tag. Asking gamers to fork over £50/$60 for what looks like a glorified indie game feels hopelessly naive from Nintendo, especially when Origins' closest competitors - the Death's Doors and Insides of the world - regularly sell for a fraction of that price.

Bayonetta: Origins may well end up being a great game, but we can't see many people paying for the privilege of finding out.
