10 Upcoming Games To Keep You Busy Until Watch Dogs
9. Dark Souls II (March 11 & April 25)
Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are two of the most difficult games of the last decade, but they earned mighty respect among players and critics because dying never felt cheap: enemies were tough, but they could be defeated with an intelligent, strategic approach. As such, the imminent Dark Souls II (tragically delayed by 6 weeks for PC players) is one of the year's most anticipated games, with those few who managed to actually slog their way to the end of the previous game no doubt eager for another rage-inducing adventure. Dark Souls II is essentially a spiritual sequel to the previous game in the same way that the Final Fantasy games are; it takes place in the same world but will not be a narrative continuation (not that it matters, as so few people actually finished the last game). It's a game so many of us cannot wait to play, even though the majority of us likely won't be able to make it to the end. Still, we'll probably never have as much fun getting p***ed off at a video game.
