This one could work. A group of people are in a spaceship and they have to navigate asteroids, whilst dealing with an ever-growing threat. Textbook. The only problem is, what the hell does it have to do with the game other than sharing the same name?

It is some misguided use to cash in on an existing franchise, whilst overlooking the fact that no one will see it because of that reason. A space movie with that premise would be good, but try to attach it to the game? It's ultimately going to be a detriment.

Or, it befalls the same fate as Rampage. In that pretty much no one actually knew that it was based on a video game. And if that is your goal, then include the game at all? Just make a cool asteroid movie!

Does anyone even remember Asteroids?
