10 Upcoming Video Games To Look Out For In February 2017
8. For Honor
What is it: Ubisoft's For Honor is one of the most unique online experiences in ages, an online, class-based, competitive, medieval hack and slash. Ubisoft calls For Honor a "shooter with swords", although combat is a far slower and more tactical affair than the typical shooter.
Players can choose from one of three historical factions to duke it out with - Legion, knights templar; Chosen, eastern samurai; and the Warborn, axe-wielding vikings. They can fight across five separate online game modes such as one-on-one duels or capturing zones across the battlefield.
Each faction has four separate classes to learn the nuances of, and if that wasn't enough, players can also learn the ins and outs of Feats, bonus abilities that lets players use actions like calling in an arrow barrage, or healing up their wounds.
A story campaign is also confirmed, where players lead their faction against the warlord Apolloyon. While a story admittedly isn't needed in an era where Overwatch has become a popular franchise, but it's a very appreciated bonus to have.
When's it coming out: 14th February. There'll be an online beta from the 9th to the 11th, so you can try before you buy.
