9. The Wolf Among Us 2
Telltale's episodic adventure sequel The Wolf Among Us 2 was first announced back in 2017, and while the intended 2018 release already felt a little late - given that the original game launched in 2013 - it's still not out in the year of our lord, 2024.
As fantastic as the first Wolf Among Us is, this follow-up has so much working against it.
First and foremost, it's an apparently direct sequel to a game that released over a decade ago and didn't exactly have much staying power in the gaming discourse.
Then there's Telltale's ongoing issues - namely, closing down in 2018, being resurrected the very same year, and more recently laying off a large portion of staff due to "market conditions."
It doesn't paint the most promising picture for the company or their content, but even if The Wolf Among Us 2 lives up to its predecessor, the massive chasm of time since the original game almost certainly ensures it's headed for commercial oblivion. It'd be great to be wrong, though.
