10 Utterly Bizarre Video Game Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

1. Wave Race: Blue Storm - Snarky Commentator

Way before the Internet exploded into the swirling snark pool that it currently is (and glorious it is too,) the excellent Gamecube racer, Wave Race: Blue Storm introduced the greatest bizarre Easter egg of all time, which channelled not only the disassociation of youth, but also the oncoming trend of snark that no permeates all levels of the socio-cultural environment.

Plus, it was really funny.

If you fiddled around with the audio options in Blue Storm's menu, you could unlock a commentator, whose barbed responses to your racing would probably net him a fairly lucrative podcast deal these days. This man should have been heralded as the saviour of sports commentary, as he insults his way through your attempts for supremacy on the waves, slipping from mild boredom to gleeful insults in a few short, snarling sentences.

It was a bold move to include such a pessimistic influence who would belittle gamers in so open a fashion, and for that reason alone, the Wave Race: Blue Storm commentary hero qualifies at the top of this list.
