2. Giygas Battle - Earthbound
The top of the creeepiest, the master of disturbing imagery in video games, the pioneer: Giygas, the embodiment of all evil. Many crazy, weird creatures just dream to have a lick of all the symbolism, all the implicit meaning, all the nightmarish concept that Giygas was born from. He's evil just for the sake of it, and you take your 4 heroes, 4 kids, to a "no return battle" in the past, as you try to destory this unleashed beast, only to be surrounded in darkness, confusing dialogue and...a baby? This battle is chaotic, hard, and very demoralising. In the end, you can only try to understand what happened...Giygas was destroyed? Or to put it in more direct wording, did you...abort Giygas? It doesn't matter what Shigesato Itoh declared in interviews, you can't deny that it will haunt you...for a long, long time.
