10 Video Game Abilities That Would Kick Ass In Real Life
3. Bullet Time
The Ability: This idea originally came from the movies (namely the films of John Woo), and not long after catching on with western audiences by way of The Matrix, it started showing up in video games, beginning with the superb Max Payne and ending in, well, pretty much every shoot 'em up going these days. It allows players to slow down the action when things get a little hectic, so you can make sure to avoid enemy bullets while mowing down the bad guys in superhuman fashion. In Real Life: It probably wouldn't serve much of a combat purpose unless a) you're a cop, b) you're a soldier or c) you're a professional fighter, but it'd mainly be great for slowing down those awesome moments in life and being able to soak them in for a little longer. Hooking up with the girl or guy of your dreams? About to hit the loop on a rollercoaster? Bullet time, baby.
