This speedrun achievement isn't that challenging if you're willing to put in the work and get to grips with the game's cumbersome AI, but on a philosophical level it feels entirely at odds with The Last Guardian's core ethos.
This is a game that begs the player to stop and smell the roses at every possible moment, and to savour the growing relationship between the boy protagonist and his giant pet creature Trico.
Considering that a playthrough can easily take upwards of 12 hours, encouraging players to sprint through the artful experience in record time just feels like an achievement added because the developers had a list they needed to fill.
