10 Video Game Achievements You Had To Die To Unlock

3. This Is THE End - Until Dawn

While every other game on this list is focused on getting a single specific protagonist killed, Until Dawn is a little different given that, as an interactive cinematic horror title, you control eight separate characters throughout the game.

The goal is to try and keep all eight characters alive to game's end, of course, and there's even a 'cheev doled out for doing so. However, though those who do the total opposite and get every single playable character killed will also get a neato reward for their "efforts."

An achievement called This Is THE End will pop if you're able to, whether intentionally or by accident, ensure the demise of all eight characters.

But it's not quite as simple and straightforward as simply failing QTEs during the game - sometimes you need to fail at specific points of the story to ensure a character's demise, and so it's actually a little tricky to engineer everybody's deaths without using a guide.
