Some games enjoy giving the player a fake moment of choice where one of the options usually leads them straight to a game over. These moments tend to act as jokey punishments for trying to choose the easy way out of a situation.

However, in Rayman 2, there is no punishment for acting lazy. In fact, the game lets you enjoy your laziness in a tropical paradise.

In the level called "The Cave of Bad Dreams," Rayman comes across a floating one-eyed monster named Jano. Aside from his dapper top hat and cool skull-decorated cane, Jano is also in possession of a huge pile of treasure, which he uses to tempt Rayman into giving up the fight with him.

The player can choose to take the bait or reject Jano's offer and fight him. Normally, you'd assume that the game would want to punish you for acting greedy; however, if you accept to take the treasure, Rayman actually gets what he wants. He's instantly teleported to a remote tropical island, where he gets to retire and enjoy his riches in peace.

Considering the "good" ending is just more of the usual fighting and getting into danger, the wrong choice has never felt so right.
