6. The Hellkite Wyvern - Dark Souls
Dark Souls boss fights consist of a variety of different tests of skill. In some you fight one big opponent, some pit you against multiple enemies at once, and in the case of the Hellkite Wyvern—you simply have to run away!
You see, the Hellkite Wyvern is a special early-game encounter in which the giant lizard swoops in to set a bridge aflame as you're about to cross it.
If the sudden attack somehow doesn't manage to kill you, the Wyvern will remain on the other side of the bridge and then cover it in its fiery breath every time you set your foot on it.
Because the only way to reach the drake is to cross the bridge, and the distance between the two of you is too great for any of your ranged attacks to reach it, the only way to beat the overgrown lizard is to make a run for it and dodge any incoming attacks until you reach safety.
From then on, you can simply progress forward or, if you feel spiteful, sneak behind the Wyvern and behead it with a jumping attack to kill it instantly.
That's what you get for forcing people to sprint in clunky armor!
