10 Video Game Bosses Who Need To Hide Their Weaknesses Better

1. Nihilanth - Half-Life

Shadow of the Colossus
Valve

You won't find much love among Half-Life fans for the game's final boss, the Nihilanth. The Nihilanth is the leader of Xen's alien forces, but more importantly, it's a comically oversized floating fetus with a massive head and eerily spindly limbs.

The resulting boss fight isn't much fun, but Valve at least make it clear enough what you need to do: destroy the three golden crystals floating around the Nihilanth's head which protect it from damage.

You'll then be able to climb up high and attack the Nihilanth's head, where its glowing brain is now exposed. You know what to do: fire everything you've got into that thing until it croaks.

You'd think the giant monster responsible for maintaining an inter-dimensional rift might not wear its weaknesses quite so literally on its sleeve, no?
