10 Video Game Bosses You Can Beat By Doing NOTHING

In conventional play, Fallout: New Vegas' final boss fight will see players take on the mighty Monster of the East himself, Legate Lanius, who can pose a supremely irritating challenge for those players ill-equipped to deal with him.

The game does give you a welcome out, though - just don't fight him at all.

If your Speech and Barter skills are sufficiently high, you're actually able to talk Lanius out of doing battle altogether, with various dialogue trees culminating in you convincing him that the fight really isn't worth all the bother.

Granted, peaceful dialogue isn't exactly nothing, and you'll need to have put in the leg-work to raise the aforementioned skills beforehand. 

And yet, compared to the alternative of just desperately unloading on Lanius with everything you've got and probably dying a few times in the process, it sure as hell feels like bugger all.
