Jenova, the alien 'mother' of the game's antagonist, Sephiroth, is a recurring pain in the backside all throughout Final Fantasy VII. The final kicker comes at the end of the game, in the Northern Cave, where you're stopped from confronting your main adversary by an impromptu fight with the extra-terrestrial's latest gruesome form, Jenova∙SYNTHESIS.

Given that this is the game's penultimate boss, it's not surprising that it's pretty damn hard, especially since you have to fight another boss immediately after it. Of course players are going to want to deal with this one quickly to preserve their party for the fights ahead.

Knights of the Round, the most powerful summon in the game, can only be obtained in one of two ways: using an extremely rare gold chocobo to find it on a hidden island, or defeating the gargantuan underwater superboss, the Emerald Weapon.

Both methods are ridiculously hard, but if you do get your hands on the Knights of the Round, you'll find that these thirteen warriors can completely obliterate basically everything you put them up against. Jenova∙SYNTHESIS does not last long at all against this attack, making for a fairly short and painless boss fight.

Then again, there's a major downside to this, as using the Knights of the Round on Jenova increases the next boss's health by quite a hefty bit, so proceed at your own risk.
