In Halo 2's final mission, you must face the Covenant's leader and Jiralhanae chieftain, Tartarus. Although this Dosiacian warlord is brutal and well-armed, what makes this bout so difficult is his forcefield. Because of his shield's resilience, you need to endlessly blast him at point-blank range with the beam rifle before you take off a single iota of his health bar. When Tartarus armour is deactivated, it'll regenerate soon after, giving you little time to do any real damage.

Fortunately, there's an easier way to vanquish Tartarus that's so well-known, anyone who's played Halo 2 has probably tried it at least once. After Johnson blows up the door to Tartarus' lair, you need to ride a Banshee to a specific spot above the facility. Once you reach this area, you will automatically teleport inside the Control Room, allowing you to decimate the extra-terrestrial despot from a safe distance from your flying vehicle.

Better still, Tartarus won't bother to fight back. Instead, the despicable despot spends most of the time standing still, making this battle as easy as shooting fish in a barrel.
