10 Video Game Bosses You Didn't Realize Can Be Killed Instantly

Percentage-based items can be pretty unpredictable to implement in a game. Since their effects can only be activated by chance, it's hard to plan ahead for every single instance in which the players are going to utilize them.

The developers of Final Fantasy XV learned this the hard way when their biggest and toughest enemies kept dying in one hit thanks to a small item called the Ring of Lucii.

While the player was holding the activation button, the ring had a 1% chance to completely deplete the health of any enemy in the game. This included the Adamantoise, a giant turtle carrying a literal mountain on its shell. The creature was one of the hardest bosses in the game due to its size and massive health bar, but thanks to the power of the Ring of Lucii, fighting it was actually as quick and easy as holding the Y button for a couple of seconds.

Unfortunately, Square Enix eventually patched the turtle-slaying powers of the Ring, but its hilarious legacy is still one of the most memorable parts of Final Fantasy XV.
