10 Video Game Character Builds You Must NEVER Choose

8. Dark Souls - Deprived

The Deprived class has been a part of the Dark Souls series since the very first game. Over the years, it has become a big meme within the Dark Souls community, as well as yet another handicap to make the game even harder for hardcore Dark Souls players.

The Deprived character, as the name suggests, is a character that starts without any real equipment or specialties. Equipped with only a wooden club and a trashy shield, they have to fight using only their skills and slowly acquire some weapons and armor.

The class poses a unique challenge, and its equal distribution of skills may even sound appealing to players who wish to level up their character from scratch. However, it should be pretty obvious that choosing the Deprived for your first Dark Souls campaign is a sure-fire way to make it a truly hellish experience.

Without any equipment and little knowledge of the game, even the weakest of enemies will cause the player a lot of trouble, not to mention the first few bosses. On top of that, because the class doesn't specialize in any skills, it might take the player longer to figure out how to level their character up.
