10 Video Game Character Builds You Must NEVER Choose
6. Amazing Cultivation Simulator - YaoGuai
Amazing Cultivation Simulator is often compared to RimWorld, but with elements of Chinese culture. The game puts you in charge of a group of disciples who try to achieve godhood by improving their body and mind in accordance with the beliefs found in different Chinese martial arts.
Like RimWorld, the game comes with a multitude of mechanics and features, and like RimWorld, some of those features might go completely over the head of a first-time player. This is especially frustrating as one unexplained mechanic might cause you to make a character that is guaranteed to expire thirty minutes into the game.
When creating a character, the player has the option of choosing between a human and twelve different types of Yaoguai, demonic beasts turned into humanoids. Given their variety and special abilities, the player might feel tempted to choose a Yaoguai character, not realizing they're likely to lose them shortly after starting the game. This is because Yaoguai are cursed with the so-called "Shapeshifting Tribulation," meaning that their existence is considered unnatural by the gods and they will eventually be reverted back to being an animal. You can spend hours making the perfect character, just to see them turn into a cat.
