10 Video Game Characters Loosely Based On Wrestlers

4. Craig Marduk

Namco/WWE

Series: Tekken

Wrestlers: Goldberg and Nathan Jones

This one becomes even more special when realising that "Marduk" is Swahili for "Goldberg".

OK, that's 100% false. Sorry. The truth is that Tekken's Craig Marduk (introduced for the series' fourth entry in 2001) comes across as the former WCW fave and recent WWE Universal Champion if he had a fondness for sparkly green ring attire. Of course, big Bill is more of a black boots n' trunks kinda' guy.

Where does Nathan Jones come into things? Well, Marduk is an Australian ex-convict who shares a lot of physical traits with the WWE flop, so it's possible there was a connection there in later years too. Perhaps someone at Namco thought Goldberg and Jones needed to be amalgamated into one bad ass fighter.
