10 Video Game Characters That Deserved To Die (But Didn't)
7. Donald Love - Grand Theft Auto III
Though the Grand Theft Auto franchise is full of murderous undesirables worthy of a dirt nap, there's one especially effed-up character who curiously never got their comeuppance.
We're talking of course about Rockstar's resident cannibal and necrophile Donald Love, a media mogul who appears in GTA III, Vice City, and Vice City Stories, but chronologically speaking, his final appearance was in GTA III.
Despite clearly being a ripe candidate for a grisly death, Love's final character mission, "Love's Disappearance," sees Love more or less disappearing into thin air along with his mysterious "Old Oriental Gentleman" sidekick.
Though it's possible Love was killed by one of the many enemies he's presumably made, the rules of media dictate that nobody's dead until you see the corpse. As a result, it's probably more likely that he simply fled Liberty City.
Rockstar received enough questions from fans about Love's disappearance that they actually offered up a rare official comment: "No one is quite sure what happened to Donald Love. He certainly crossed a few boundaries and was trying to find a way back to normality. Whether or not he managed this, and what happened to the elderly Asian gentleman are matters we cannot speculate on."
