10 Video Game Characters Who Would Make A Great Superhero Team

6. Raiden - Mortal Kombat Series

As the God of Thunder, guardian of the Earth Realm and leader of its forces, Raiden is a logical choice.

He is no physical powerhouse like Kratos (although he has been depicted punching people through solid concrete) but as arguably the team’s best pure martial artist he does not need to be.

Let him get close enough to use his fists and anyone, be they a Captain America or Batman, is going down fast, and being able to both teleport and fly he has no problem closing the distance. At range Raiden is no slouch either, able to let loose a storm of lightning that can lay waste to entire enemy hordes.

In combat, then, Raiden is Revan’s quick response force. If there is a hole, Raiden plugs it and if there is opportunity, he is the one to exploit it.

But more importantly, Raiden can heal, important in a team whose daily bread is getting into a fight. And as a god with of millions of years life experience he brings with him a deep font of wisdom, adding a valuable, balanced perspective to the team.
