10 Video Game Characters Whose Fates Are Never Resolved

Something truly lost in the realms of Star Wars video games is the notion that not every title needs the Force. Some of the greatest entries in the back catalogue of Star Wars tie ins haven't even mentioned the Force, or have certainly gone through hours of gameplay long before you are given the option.

There is probably no greater example of this than Star Wars: Republic Commando; an enthralling first person shooter title that put players in control of the elite 'Delta Squad': a four man/clone team tasked with the most dangerous, thrilling missions ever seen by a Star Wars video game player.

Most modern FPS titles could learn a lot from Republic Commando as players had to be far more cunning than they had likely ever been asked to be before. No level could be completed solely by gunning down the hoards of Battle Droids and the breathing space puzzles gave the players meant they really began to connect with the squad.

Spoiler alert: The game's final scenes see ace sniper 'Sev' split up from the group and under heavy fire - a heart-wrenching moment as the rest of Delta Squad are instructed to pull back ahead of a debrief with Jedi Master Yoda with their helmets firmly hung in sorrow.

From here, who knows? The squad may have gone on to join the 501st, they may have left their clone identities behind at the end of the war or maybe they all went the way of poor Sev; gunned down by the Clankers.

Truly, we will never have the answers we need.
