10 Video Game Choices That Seem Important (But Are Actually POINTLESS)

5. Kravchenko Interrogation - Call Of Duty: Black Ops II

In Call of Duty: Black Ops II, there are a lot of really important choices that can define things like which characters survive until the end and even how certain plotlines will develop over the course of the story.

For this reason, you expect each action you take to bear consequences (maybe aside from gunning down entire squads of hostiles). However, there is one scene which, despite its intensity and clearly implied relevance to the plot, leaves no significant impact on the story whatsoever.

During the interrogation of Kravchenko, you're meant to suppress your character's need to kill him in order to derive all the information you need from him.

It feels as though letting your subliminal bloodlust take over could have severe consequences for what happens later on, but in reality it doesn't.

While Kravchenko does reveal crucial info about a potential mole if you wait until the end of the interrogation, the revelation isn't mentioned again until the mole finally reveals himself, and everyone acts surprised anyway.

What was the point of hearing Kravchenko's confession, then? You know, maybe your character should've been suppressing the need to kill their amnesiac buddies instead...
